On en sait guère plus mais moteur V8 de plus de 400CH, chassis carbone, design plutôt sympa : cela s'annonce bien
(modulo la fiabilité légendaire de la marque ).

A la fois lucide (conscient que l'industrie automobile n'est certainement pas le meilleur moyen de faire beaucoup de bénéfices), suffisamment fou pour recréer TVR et sachant parfaitement ou sa marque doit se positionner (vraies voitures de sport avant d'être des GT, communicatives, pas de 2+2,peu d'"infotainment" et d'électronique embarqué etc...), il me fait une excellente impression avec ses réponses. Un grand passionné devenu directeur industriel et non un industriel qui tenterait de se passionner pour ce qu'il produit.

Si tous les CEO de petites (et grandes) marques pouvaient être de tels "petrolhead" un peu fou...

J'en ai vu une à Issoire le mois dernier (un mec de Clermont ou des environs). Même impression que toi : machine à l'allure démentielle.
Et je m'attendais à la voir rencontrer un problème mécanique eu égard à leur fiabilité légendaire : nada. Elle a tourné comme une horloge toute la journée.

Created in conjunction with Gordon Murray Design, the 1200 kg car promises incredible 200mph performance and 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds. With the special launch edition car being offered at under £90,000, anticipation and demand for the 400BHP per tonne, five-litre, Cosworth developed V8-powered car is already at fever-pitch.
The unveiling of the car at the Goodwood Revival is a first for the world-renowned Sussex-based event. The new car will go on display in the ‘Earls Court’ building at the Revival, and will be showcased at the centre of a display which features a number of older, heritage TVRs, in celebration of the British marque’s 70th anniversary.
Speaking of the planned public launch, Les Edgar, Chairman of TVR said: “We are incredibly excited to be unveiling the new car at the Goodwood Revival. It’s the first time a global launch of a new car has occurred at the event, and it seems an entirely appropriate place for us to do it, with the marque’s motorsport heritage and an enthusiastic audience of dedicated car fans – and in our 70th anniversary year. Si c'est bien le cas, la marque va pouvoir se relancer avec un bon backing financier

400bhp/tonne pour une auto de 1200kg -> 480bhp soit 487 de "nos chevaux"... et à £90,000 (€103,000 env.) pour une auto motorisée par V8 conçu par Cosworth c'est plutôt très bien

On sent une fois de plus la passion dans ses propos et la volonté de développer une auto performante, communicative et plus axée GT que sportive pure et dure. La cible serait Aston plutôt que Lotus avec la volonté de s'engager au Mans pour démontrer le potentiel de la voiture.

On notera que la réputation de TVR joue sur le développement : on communique pas mal déjà sur le fait qu’elle je rouillera pas.

Le cahier des charges et les gens en charge du développement permettent d'être très optimiste :
5.0-litre Cosworth V8, BVM 6 vitesses, Gordon Murray aux manettes du design, aéro avec effet de sol (diffuseur actif ?), châssis carbone pour un pods visé inférieur à 1250kg.

L'interview est intéressante. Si les caractéristiques annoncées sont respectées (poids surtout), que cette TVR
reçoit une homologation européenne et que le prix reste celui prévu, £90,000 soit environ €105,000, elle devrait
faire un carton

un carton modeste tout de même. La marque est peu connue, n'a jamais vraiment été commercialisée hors UK, n'a pas de réseau, a une mauvaise image de fiabilité technique et de fiabilité de son organisation... va falloir tout construire, même si la mise au point de l'auto semble bien partie.
